HOT SPRAY COATING TECHNOLOGY
PROGRESSIVE TECHNOLOGY OF PRESENT AND FUTURE PRE-TREATMENT
This technology enables application and production of metal, ceramo-metallic and ceramic coatings. These coatings can be applied to various types of structural materials regardless of the condition of their heat treatment.
Coatings produced by the hot spray coating technology may be applied to all common structural materials, ferrous and nonferrous metals. The chemical composition of the coated device base material or its condition is not significant during the application of the hot spray coating technology materials. The coating cannot be applied only to component parts with already existing layers - for example, layers produced by nitriding or chromium plating.
In the process of coating application the temperature of the base material heats up to 100 C, in exceptional cases to 150 C. Therefore there is neither deformation of the coated device or degradation of the base material structure.
The process of coating formation by the hot spray coating technology can be generally characterized as melting down the supplementary material, which is in a form of powder, wire or a rod. Its particles are accelerated and applied to a blasted surface of the component part (degreasing, dry blasting) prepared in advance. After the individual particles impinge on the base material, they are partially or completely deformed and they rapidly cool down, harden and create the typical coating structure.
The coating thickness varies from 0.10 mm to several millimeters.
Our manufacturing equipment enables coating application to external surfaces as well as board openings.
The workplace is equipped with a robotized system ensuring high reliability and reproducibility of the technological process of coating application on different shapes of semi-finished products (rotational, planary or other complex shapes).
The main goal of applying coatings made by the hot spray coating technology is the considerable increase in service life and reliability of machine components, which enables their function under fully specific performance conditions, brings great cost savings and is the basis for new unconventional technical solutions and promising applications in a number of new fields. It is possible to employ this technology in the field of basic industry, as well as repair work and reconditioning. By combining the deposition methods it is possible to repair defective and worn out components by as many as several millimeters.
